Boss Keloid are quickly being recognised as having the potential of becoming a lead name in the sludge/stoner rock scene in the UK. Already having caught the attention of fans and critics whilst touring rigorously they are well on their way to creating their own niche in the market.

“Herb Your Enthusiasm” on the whole is a very well balanced album with delectable sludgy riffs perfectly framed with more serene instrumental sections and the vocals of Alex Hurst showing a versatility that is not all that common in the genre.

Opening track “Lung Mountain” proves to be a perfect opening track and as the album progresses the band show that the genre they have been billed as is not all they have to offer. More experimental songs such as “Haarlem Struggle” showcase the talents of the band and the range of abilities they have instrumentally.

Final track “Hot Priest” is the perfect representation of the band, with a huge and heavy sludgy sound that carries on to the end and will surely capture the hearts of those invested in the scene.

“Herb Your Enthusiasm” is a very intelligent album and one that will do nothing but good in Boss Keloid’s attempt to cement themselves at the forefront of the UK music scene. It shows off how talented the band is and pushes the boundaries of the genre. Anyone with a love of The Melvins, Kyuss and Fu Manchu should definitely give this album a good listen.
