Five piece progressive metalcore band Dig Two Graves, well four members not including the cat… hail from New Jersey, USA.
How would you describe your music?
Kenny: Very atmospheric and somewhat progressive, especially the new stuff.
Josh: Yeah pretty much.
Tell us about the history of the project?
Kenny: Me and Josh had kind of started other projects in the past but this is the first one we wanted to take seriously. Then we found Mike who was super into what Josh had started writing for our first EP. Then we found Jesse after looking for a bassist for a while.
What are your influences/ musical heroes?
Kenny: Avenged Sevenfold, Fall out Boy, Make Them Suffer, Kero Kero Bonito, System of a Down, Kanye West.
Josh: There’s a bunch but a few main ones would be Kero Kero Bonito, Daughters, and D’ERLANGER.
What inspires you?
Kenny: Playing shows where the crowd is digging our material. Makes me want to play more shows and get working on new stuff
Do you write on the road? Or do you prefer to write in the studio?
Kenny: Josh pretty much writes everything in his apartment with his very soft cat Soxxx
Josh: This is accurate.
What is your favourite song to perform live?
Kenny: It’s close between Wick and So Below.
Josh: I like Wick because of the tappies.
What would be your dream tour to be a part of?
Kenny: Make Them Suffer, Kero Kero Bonito.
Josh: Us, KKB, Daughters, and Dir En Grey.
What are your current thoughts on the music industry?
Josh: Hot take, I don’t really think it’s that bad. It’s easier than ever to get music out there. I wish certain electronic payouts were a little better but it really do be like it do.
What is the funniest/weirdest experience you have had on tour?
Josh: I have a bunch of stories with my other band Skiver, but we haven’t hit the road yet with DTG unfortunately.
What are your future plans?
Kenny: We’re working on our debut full length album and it’s turning out dope so far.
