How would you describe your music?

A mixture of Punk, Emo, and Grunge. Basically rock music, hahaha to many sub genres.

Tell us about how the history of the project?

Life Underfoot Started in 2017 after our vocalist and guitarist Andre Judge recruited Emory Davies for bass after his band ended. Then Andre recruited his friend James E. Pilipovic who’s a local musician he met through shows on drums. Ever since we have recorded multiplt demos, an EP, toured, and just play whenever we can!!

What are you influences/ musical heroes?

Really all types of music!! I feel like for our band some influences we draw from though are def Nirvana, Weezer, The Pixies, Brand New, Failure, Blink 182. Really try to keep it diverse and different.

What inspires you?

Just doing what we love!! A lot of people don’t understand that you can really get out there and do anything you want. I mean we set up a tour over 4 states and just did it. Just hitting milestones inspires us!!

Do you write on the road? or do you prefer to write in the studio?

Probably studio because you can really just sit there and focus, but that doesn’t mean we don’t take experiences from the road in our writing.

What is your favourite song to perform live?

Well right before we went on tour back in July before we went on tour with our buddies in Brighter Days, we wrote a new song called ‘Blinding Lights’. It’s like the part 2 of our song ‘Familiar Lights!!’ We still gotta record it but it’ll def be on the next release, think Brand New meets Tool.

What would be your dream tour to be a part of?

Warped Tour lol. But if i could pick any bands it’d be Coheed and Cambria, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Straylight Run, we’re from New York so playing with these huge NY acts would rock.

What are you current thoughts on the music industry?

A lot different from when i was younger, I mean streaming stuff is really cool and helps get you noticed. But I grew up buying CDs with my dad so I still prefer that hahaha -Andre

What is the funniest/weirdest experience you have had on tour?

Watching my buddy Alex the bass player from Brighter Days swimming on the beach in Connecticut trying to be a otter hahahaha that guys a riot!!

What are your future plans?

Well right now we’re planning our next EP and have been talking to a couple labels that want some unreleased stuff. Who knows maybe 2019 will be our year. Really wanna tour again that’s the best part about this life.
