How would you describe your music?

When we started out we just wanted to play loud punk rock music inspired by whatever we liked and that’s what we still do. We despise the idea of limiting oneself to a specific genre or artist for inspiration; that’s when things get boring and there are enough boring bands around.
– Tobias.A (Bass)

We listen to all kinds of different bands and music. We all grew up with classic rock bands like Kiss, Status Quo and Thin Lizzy. In our early teens we discovered a lot of punk and hardcore music like Black Flag, Ramones and Misifts which also lead to heavier music. Besides that we also like a lot of good pop music with good melodies so bands like the Beatles and ABBA also had an impact on us. So I guess it’s just one big mixture of stuff we like. -Christoffer.K (Vocals/guitar)

Tell us about how the history of the band?

We started playing in late 2011 after a wild Halloween party in the small town of Sölvesborg. Some of us were in less active/less fun bands and thought it would be cool to play something else. Christoffer (guitar/vocals) had shown us a couple of demo recordings he had done and we made a drunk decision to meet at a garage in Bromölla the day after and try them out. It was a rough Sunday but here we are. A demo tape and a self released 7″ followed the formation of the band (The Dahmers)and after that we immediately recorded our first album “Demons” which didn’t see the light until 2014. – Tobias.A (Bass)

What are you influences/ musical heroes?

Like I mentioned before it’s hard to just name one specific influence since we like so many different kinds of stuff. There’s just so much good music out there that it would be stupid to just limit our selves to just one kind of band or style. But The Kinks, Eddie Meduza and Conway Twitty are great music for example. Besides music we find a lot of inspiration in horror movies and from our personal lives. -Christoffer.K (vocals/guitar)

What inspires you?

Just about anything. Good memories, bad memories, good movies, bad movies, good songs and bad songs, friends, enemies… In the end everything is cooked down to a horror influenced tale that ends up being a song. – Tobias.A (Bass)

Do you write on the road? or do you prefer to write in the studio?

No it’s hard to find time writing on the road since we are quite busy with everything else that touring includes. And we also tour in a small van together so it’s hard to just pick up a guitar and start writing. But we basically write new material constantly besides when we’re touring. -Christoffer.K (Vocals/guitar)

What is your favourite song to perform live?

I like playing most songs but I especially enjoy playing Nightcrawler, Rat boy and Creepiest creep. Energetic fun songs with a lot of guitar stuffs in it. -Christoffer.K (Vocals/guitar)

What would be your dream tour to be a part of?

Don’t know, any tour really. We haven’t toured US yet so that would be cool. We like visiting weird places and clubs. Christoffer.K (Vocals/guitar)

What are you current thoughts on the music industry?

What is the funniest/weirdest experience you have had on tour?

Our guitarist shit his pants last time in Poland. It was very nice.

What are your future plans?

The plan is to release some new songs this fall which we have just recorded. Besides that we will do some Swedish festival gigs this summer and are currently in process with booking more shows this fall, both in Sweden and Europe.
