How would you describe your music?

Black Income is Solid Style – Alternative Hard Rock Band, Our music is often described as Tight Stoner Grunge with a melodic twist, we aim to write interesting songs, and we really do our best to keep things new, although we play a certain genre like Grunge… But we add some new flavors to the genre, and we’re not here to repeat the past at any point, we really aim to do things our own way, and we put a lot of effort into creating our own sound.

Tell us about how the history of the band?

We started out in 2011/2012 and our Debut Album ‘NoisePollution’ came out in 2016,same year we just got Nominated by Danish GAFFA for“The best Hard Rock/Metal Release in 2016”, along with bands like VOLBEAT, PRETTY MAIDS etc.. so was quite exciting although we didn’t win the price..Besides Touring in Europe 2015/2016, we are now working on our next full album, and the first single is out now, and called “Feels Like A Storm”The single was recorded at the Legendary “MedLey Studios” in Copenhagen DK. with Soren Andersen (D.A.D / Mike Tramp / Glenn Hughes) as Producer once again.. We plan for the Album to hit the streets in the middle of 2018, and right now we got our 2’nd single out called “DRUG”.

What are you influences/ musical heroes?

We listen to a lot of music, but bands like Queens Of the Stone Age and their way of doing rythmes inspired us a lot, also bands like SoundGarden, Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots we love a lot… not that we aim to sound like them, we just love the punchy edge and the vocal harmonies.

What inspires you?

Everyday people, everyday fake news and stuff just coming by out of the thin air.. We don’t aim to do a specific thing here, we grap what comes along. So it can be the man on the corner or the next Bigger Father og All Bomb, or stupid stuff like that.. we all want Better Day’s thats for sure..

Do you write on the road? or do you prefer to write in the studio?

Well whenever a good idea comes to mind, we write or start writing, if it’s on the road we often just get the idea down, so we dont forget it… and later on we take to the studio and start writing more finished versions of our ideas, before recording them.

What is your favourite song to perform live?

We like it rough :), so i think it’s “Left You Alone” from our debut album.. It got this massiv riff going on, it’s kinda fun playing live… and people tend to like it alot..

What would be your dream tour to be a part of?

Ohh that’s a tough one…. well think we would love to get on tour with a band like Queens Of The Stone Age, because although we might be a little more melodic than them, we still feel somehow connected, and it would be very suitable match for the audience we think…

What are you current thoughts on the music industry?

Well talking about the Rock/Metal of the industry we see good bands stop playing all the time, because it’s so hard to make a living from your music today, and it’s hard to keep your head above water, it’s really a struggle caused by all the crappy music making all the noise you have to breakthru to get noticed.. but you have to keep trying as an artist, and grow you fanbase.. but it’s hard work.. thats for sure.

What is the funniest/weirdest experience you have had on tour?

haha.. we se odd things all the time when touring, one thing in germany comes to mind, but we better leave it by that :). We always have fun though.. on time we spend like 4 hour in the van, going to a town we should play in the next day, it was kinda foggy and our driver decided to drive 4 hours the opposite direction, can’t say it was funny then, but thinking about now it’s kinda stupid funny :).

What are your future plans?

Well we just released our second single from our forthcoming album to be released this summer, the title of the song is “DRUG” and it’s in fact the right opposite of what you properly would think of the title, it’s more like a Anti Drug uptempo Rock Tune for that matter.. It seems everyone is on drugs these days, so we thought hey, let’s do a song about how these stressed out weekend junkies look to us in public… we have a couple of gigs planed for now, but we will first start touring in the end of this year and start 2019… so the meantime head on over to Spotify and Youtube to check it out..
