We had an interview with Eric co-founder of Leaving Eden from New England USA, late last year. If you’ve not hear of Leaving Eden before, this should give you a good insight.

How would you describe your music?

Leaving Eden’s music is more of an eclectic mix of Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, some acoustic with melody and harmonies.  The music is also very much Lyric driven.

Tell us about how the history of the band?

Leaving Eden are a new millennium rock band featuring The Empress of Rock “EVE” from Boston MA, USA. Leaving Eden has Toured The USA, UK & Canada sharing  the stage with hundreds of the biggest national bands in the world including; Lacuna Coil, In This Moment, Black Sabbath (Heaven & Hell), Ronnie James Dio,  Rob Zombie, 5 Finger DeathPunch, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper to name a few.

What are you influences/ musical heroes?

Hendrix, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Disturbed, Shinedown, Five finger death punch, Richie Blackmore, Lyndsey Buckingham

What inspires you?

The Universe and all it’s energy inspire me the most.

Do you write on the road? or do you prefer to write in the studio?

Good question.  Both, whatever the vibe is at the time really.  I think writing is an endless process, prob till the day ya die!

What is your favourite song to perform live?

Hmmmm.  Ive been asked this question before.  So many today, I think I’ll choose our song ‘Redemption’ off our ‘Tied and Bound’ cd because it’s high energy, I sing very little in the song so I can just let loose.  It’s pretty heavy.

What would be your dream tour to be a part of?

Def with Metallica! Those dudes play to thousands every show, would be awesome for sure!!!

What are you current thoughts on the music industry?

3 sides to every coin including the edge which joins the other 2 sides.  One side is It sucks because of what has happened with CD sales.  The other side is it’s great because of the ability to get out there all over the world in a single stroke of the keyboard.  The 3rd side joins both and creates a happy medium, CD sales are ridiculous, but there’s effective ways to procure support while touring and ways for publishing songs for tv, movies, gaming etc.  I look at every set back as an opportunity, it’s just in my nature so with that said and with lots of effort, you can have a successful career but ya gotta get out there and make it happen.  Nobody’s gonna do it for you for sure.

What is the funniest/weirdest experience you have had on tour?

When we were on tour with our friends Saving Abel, at the end of the tour we went out to our vehicle only to find it completely wrapped in plastic wrap and written on it with black marker was “Leaving Abel” which we thought was a hilarious prank. Ya get it? Leaving Eden, Saving Abel; Leaving Abel?

What are your future plans?

We are heading into the studio with Grammy Award winning Record Producer and friend Johnny K. (Known for Disturbed, PopEvil, 3 Doors Down, Finger 11.)  We will be touring USA, Canada and Europe 2017, pumped for that!  We are also working on 2017 Coldcock Whiskey “Get Coldcocked” USA tour as well, so lot’s of stuff!!!  hope ta see ya when we come on through and Peace!!!
