The World Over breaks the boundaries of rock music in 2016 with their new album ‘Mountains’ recorded with Siegfried Meier. The band reaches a much broader spectrum of listeners with their new sound but still reflecting on their roots in post-hardcore.

Tell us about the history of the band?
The World Over was created in 2013 by musicians who all moved to Los Angeles from around the world with the mutual goal to make music. Founders Xavier Moreux, Tiaday Ball, Ryan Knecht, Anthony Dellaripa, and Eric Gledhill conceptualized a band who could represent many different cultures and promote messages of hope and empowerment. Within one year of forming, T.W.O. collaborated with former Escape the Fate guitarist, Omar Espinosa, to create “Rampart District” EP released August 19th, 2014. Donovan Allen (bassist) joined the team in the year of 2015 and released a single & music video for “EULOGY” after Eric’s departure.

What are you influences/ musical heroes?
Our main influences would have to be Deftones, Bring Me The Horizon’s newest album and PVRIS.

What inspires you?
Our previous album. It lit a fire under our bums to put out music that actually spoke for us

Do you write on the road? or do you prefer to write in the studio?
We prefer to write in the studio, but creativity can’t be stopped by time or location!

What is your favourite song to perform live?
Our favorite song to play live would have to be , “TRAITOR”, off our new album MOUNTAINS

What would be your dream tour to be a part of?
Our dream tour would have to be with Bring Me The Horizon or PVRIS!

What are you current thoughts on the music industry?
We feel like a label isn’t necessary for a band to succeed anymore, as much as it can be beneficial in other ways. DIY to some extent.

What is the funniest/weirdest experience you have had on tour?
There aren’t too many things that come off too weird or wild for us, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be a possibility for some in the future!

What are your future plans?
Future plans would have to be just promoting this new album as much as we can, meeting more people to build a strong team for The World Over and a possible tour in the new.
