Endeavour are a collective of nerds with a knack for making crushing aggressive metal. Channelling the aggression of such bands like Machine Head and Pantera into the progressive forms of bands such as Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree; Endeavour combine dual vocal harmonies, mammoth riffs and versatile songwriting to forge modern metal with an old-school ethos.

The band released their debut record, a 37 minute EP “From The Darkest Grounds” in 2014. They have since been gigging in support of the release which included a slot at Bloodstock in 2015. Meanwhile, each member has been working on individual projects. Iain recently finished a European, UK and South American tours providing guitar duties for Onslaught. While Chris has worked with One Machine (featuring ex-members of Testament, Nevermore, Biomechanical and Savage Messiah), writing and recording vocals on 2015’s full length album “The Final Cull” and touring alongside Overkill and Vader in April 2016.

2016 saw the genesis of “Endeavour Presents: One Nation Under Prog”, Bristol’s first ever dedicated prog metal night. The night was a storming success, bringing together the local prog community with acts from around the UK. Alongside the gig, the band has brought fans together via the “One Nation Under Prog” Facebook group and are planning the next few gigs later this year.

Most recently the band performed a storming set at Bristol’s acclaimed venue the Thekla to a sold out show supporting Evil Scarecrow and have recently played again at Bloodstock 2017.

“Denied, Defined, Defied” Official Lyric Video from brand new ‘Bring Upon The Rising Day’ EP!!! Created by Andy Pilkington at Very Metal Art (www.verymetal.co.uk) Buy ‘Bring Upon The Rising Day’ via: www.endeavourmetal.bigcartel.com

‘Bring Upon The Rising Day’ is the new EP from Bristol-based progressive metal band Endeavour, featuring three new slabs of the bands best offerings, taking their “aggressive-meets-progressive” approach new heights. It is also their first recording to feature new drummer Jake Stone. The EP starts off with the streamlined, melodic but ballsy “Denied, Defined, Defied” with its sing along Chorus and catchy riffs. It moves into prog world on “Death In Lies” which is full of technical turn arounds and the most virtuosic playing on an Endeavour track so far. The EP closes with the 13 minute title track which sees the band breaking new ground: at times the track displays the heaviest and most aggressive music the band has written, but also expresses very vulnerable and raw emotion, the message of the song being about fighting and overcoming depression and anxiety, leading Endeavour to finding their voice in the UK metal scene.

Limited to first 100 copies is their cover of Alice In Chains classic “Them Bones” which has been very popular in their live set for the last year. The drums were recorded by Kevin Peters at Anemic Studios, mixing and mastering was handled by Stephen Platt of Manchester progressive metallers Collibus, and artwork and layout was done by Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art. All other production was handled by the band.

The EP is available on all major digital platforms (Spotify, iTunes, Google Play) was well as via their online store: www.endeavourmetal.bigcartel.com
